Quality at the source — before a single sheet of drywall goes up.
One of the best quality tools we use happens before the work ever goes vertical: we take the floor plans — along with the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and data drawings — and put them right on the slab.
Walk into any room and you’ll see exactly what you need to know: room name and number, ceiling height, wall and floor finishes, outlet and rough-in locations, smoke and fire partition ratings, and even the swing of the door.
It does two things at once.
First, it’s wayfinding for our trade partners. When you’re navigating hundreds of thousands of square feet, you shouldn’t have to pull out an iPad just to know where you are and what’s going where.
Second — and this is the part I love — it’s a QC check before anything gets covered up.
If a room is marked 9′-0″ and a conduit is hanging below that line, we catch it on the floor instead of after the wall is closed.
We can lay out casework against the marked outlets and confirm a receptacle didn’t land in the backsplash, long before anyone hangs board.
We even coordinate a specific paint type and removal plan based on flooring type, so nothing bleeds through once the floors go in.
Clear markings. Better coordination. Higher quality.
Set expectations on the floor. Get it right the first time.
